Women who want a fresh start at life and are willing to surrender anything or anyone who has held them in the past, can find freedom at Candlehouse Teen Challenge. The entry process begins with a phone call and over the phone interview. Such a candidate must be able to peaceably live in community with other women and be:
• Able to read, write and study the Christian Bible
• Submissive to rules, staff and volunteers
• Able to do household chores and grounds keeping
• Participate in speaking engagements, testimonials and choir
• In outreaches and benevolence work
• Willing to work in print shop, cleaning and hospitality
• Healthy with one or fewer medical or dental visits per month
• Approved by probation officer or judge for residency (If in legal system)
• Without diagnosed psychoses and psychotropic drugs*
• Free of convictions for criminal sexual acts
*If psychotropic drugs are used before coming, the student must may have no more than one at entry and be willing to be weaned from it by the fourth week after entry.
